I really wish I had the latest issue of @ElleMagazineSA just walked
past it when my mom and I were doing grocery shopping at WoolWorths
and she just REFUSED to buy it for me :(
I obviously can’t buy it myself. Because:

1. I’m barely 18 years old. I’m just a teenager
2. I’m a high school student. Last time I checked, we don’t earn salaries.

So this is an open letter to my mom. I’m alsking you to PLEASE PLEASE
PLEASE buy it for me mama :(
I need my monthly dose of fashion. PLEASE mommy! I’m just a little
girl with no salary whatsoever.

Leather seems to be very in this Winter. I’ve seen so much leather on
the runway this year and last year and I won’t lie, I’ve fallen in
love. I like esspecially the ones that have extra details like silver
zips, funky shaped pockets, studs and quilting. It feels less plain.

I’ve kinda been going through this “phase” lately. I just don’t feel
very passionate about anything, I’m not as excited about life as much
as I was before. Everything just depresses my life :( I’m sure I’ve
lost a truck load of readers but thats okay because I know very well
that I’d get very bored if my favourite bloggers just randomly decided
to stop posting stuff. But overall I am very sorry about that. I’m not
sure what to start posting about yet. So you can send in stuff, ideas,
suggestions, pictures up there on the Contact Me page. I will look
into it all. I totally promise that. For now, I do have a few things
to share :)

Lately I’ve discovered Jourdan Dunns on Fashion TV who is a British
fashion model and all-round beautiful girl. She is currently my
favourite model in the whole entire world. (I am sorry Joan Smalls but
someone has taken your place). She appeared on the cover of Vogue
Italia back in July ‘08. Thats something very big to any model. She’s
walked in plenty big shows, like Marc Jacobs, YSL, Ralph Lauren,
Burberry, Victoria Secret, TOPSHOP ( I’ve become a huge Top Shop
junkie and that my dear friends is why its in capital letters), Calvin
Klein and get this: in 2008 she was the first black model to walk a
Prada runway in over a DECADE. Don’t ask me what “issue” Prada had
with black models back then. Only God knows.

As a regular surfer of the world wide web, I tend to come across
millions of incredible stuff and iFeel the need to show you guys
everything I find which leads to this post.

These clothes are from this cool clothing label called Thu Thu. What
really stands out for me is the prints on the fabric and how they went
away from the popular “vintage fashion” and did traditional prints on
contemporary clothing. It kinda reminds me of clothing from Loin Cloth
and Ashes. Sometimes the whole vintage thing gets a little boring, its
nice to see something fresh and new on the runway. So yeah, I hope to
see some new stuff this year.

I am so in love with these gorgeous pieces by Amber Jones for Mr
Price. I sooo admire this woman. The flower crowns are totally super
cute. I actually think the floral prints and denim combination is a
winner. Amaze-balls!

Oh and I will totally do something about the lack of posts :( by the

I am terribly sorry for not posting stuff. I have been awfully busy ever since the calender hit 2013. But here I am.
Anyway I just HAD to post these gorgeous stuff from Centre Commercial. I just peeped their website about 20 mins ago and I was totally blown away. Their clothes are amazeballs! The site is in French - I can recognize French but I can’t read it - and so I couldn’t do some proper browsing or reading. Their clothes take vintage to a whole new level. Speaking of which, my school’s having Valentines civies later this week and I’m told the theme is Vintage so this could be helpful to my schoolmates (guys included) who really want to be at their best. This is some really GORGEOUS stuff! The peter pan collars are just
insaaaane. This is just beautiful. Miu Miu is a real powerhouse. These
outfits remind me of Blaire Waldorf of Gossip Girl. I’ve always adored
her style. She always had this girly thing. Its always lady like and

She’s abandoned it all. Its all dead to her. All the culture and ways
of doing things. It doesn’t matter to her. She believes that its
purely barbaric. She believes its the reason that Africa is unable to
keep up with the rest of the world. I don’t know why she thinks its
important that Africa keeps up with the rest of the world. I mean I
don’t think its necessary for Africans to keep up with the rest of the
world. Everything the world does, we must copy? Why?

Of course, I ask her about culture and traditions and she replies
“Culture for what? For who?”. I am able to look past her attire which
by the way does not even drop a hint of modesty. Obviously if
Americans are dressing that way then why wouldn’t she be dressing that
way too.

I asked for her name and she said her name was “Lehbugung”. I began to
think that maybe she meant Lebogang. Such a beautiful name vandalized
by this “African” girl’s accent.

I am afraid to ask what she’ll name her children but I ask anyway. I
hear names like “Chloe” “Zoe” “Jade” “Rose”.

Rest In Peace African Culture, For You Have No One To Pass You Down To
The Generations That Are Still To Come.

Its sad to know that after our parents and grandparents die no one
will be there to preserve the culture and traditions that have been
passed down from generations to generations. Soon every African child

Those who know me will also know that I am big on trends. Though it
isn’t very wise to follow every trend, one has to admit that trends
make fashion very intriguing. So I will be bringing a new feature
where I will be writing about my favourite trends. It won’t always be
the latest trends but it will be trends that I love and recommend. So
this is my first trend report.

[The OMBRE Trend]

Ombre is a trend where an item has different shades of colour printed
on it going from either the lightest shade to the darkest shade or
vice versa. The trend can be on either clothing, accessories or even
hair. For me, I love it best on hair. Its very daring but I don’t
mind. I love it on Raven the most, she really looks great. On the
clothing side of things, I love the Maxi skirt with the Orange and
white. Beautiful and girly.

Maxi and skinny jeans are from MR PRICE.
